Matthew Ryan
Director
Matthew is the director of Highgate Pathways, combining academic rigour with practical industry expertise. A Mathematics graduate from the University of Bristol, he also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education.
During his six-year tenure at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, he taught undergraduate and postgraduate accounting and was a dedicated mentor, deeply invested in his students’ academic and application success.
Today, as the Director of his own accounting firm, he brings a unique, real-world perspective to our consultancy. His dual background as an experienced educator and a business leader ensures that the guidance we provide is both academically sound and strategically aligned with long-term professional success.

Hong Zhang
Education Consultant
Hong is the consultant at Highgate Pathways, with over a decade of experience in international education. Previously an educator at Dulwich College Suzhou. She taught GCSE Economics and brings a deep understanding of UK curricula.
She holds a Master’s degree in TESOL from Liverpool University and is currently a professional Bookkeeper. This combination of academic expertise and meticulous financial management allows her to offer exceptionally structured and well-planned guidance for students navigating the UK education system.
Drawing from her own successful transition to the UK, she provides comprehensive, empathetic support to help every student achieve their academic ambitions.
张虹是高格教育（Highgate Pathways）的教育顾问，在国际教育领域拥有十多年经验。她曾任教于苏州德威国际学校。曾教授 GCSE 经济学，对英国课程体系有深刻理解。
她拥有利物浦大学 TESOL 硕士学位，目前也是一位专业的簿记员（Bookkeeper）。这种学术背景与严谨财务管理技能的结合，使她能够为学生提供极具条理、规划周密的升学指导。
